William Pirrie Was a leading Irish shipbuilder and businessman and He was funding the Titanic project.
Born in Quebec, Canada, a son to Irish parents. When he turned 2 years old he was taken to Ireland, to the city of Conlig, County Down, where he spend his childhood.
In 1912 he was to travel aboard the Titanic, but illness prevented him from joining the tragic voyage.
